These Danner Flashpoint II 10" All Leather Boots give wildland firefighters and smokejumpers an edge while they fight wildland fires. From flashpoint leather that resists fire, water, and punctures to fire-resistant Nomex triple stitching, these wildland boots can withstand high temperatures and tough situations.
The stitchdown construction of these wildland firefighter boots is handcrafted, providing a wider platform for better underfoot stability. Such handcrafting makes it easier to recraft these stitchdown boots. The Vibram 360 degree Fire Logger Outsole provides great grip on moist or rough terrain, even on slopes or angles. A 90-degree heel improves safety on steep terrain and can make it easier to climb in and out of equipment.
Other features of these fire boots include a steel shank and plain toe. Certified to the standards of NFPA 1977, 2016 edition. Made in the USA with imported components.
The 74 last is designed specifically for traditional logger style boots containing a removable footbed. It offers a standard profile with a more regular fit. Boots on this last tend to fit true to size. This ensures a snug fit for terrain and activities that demand support and stability. If you do have a wider foot, we recommend ordering an "EE" (wide) or “EEEE” (extra wide) in this style.
