Council Tool Dayton Single Bit Axe with 36" Curved Handle

With a 36” curved American Hickory handle, this full-sized felling axe is perfect for general axe chores. The forged tool steel head has a square poll and a 4.75” cutting edge that is hand sharpened and tapered for splitting and cutting. A red enamel coats the head while the edge is coated in clear lacquer, repelling rust.

By hydraulically seating the axe head into the handle and securing it with a serrated aluminum wedge, Council Tool ensures that this firefighter axe can withstand chopping, cutting, and more. The eye section is dried to below 10% moisture content, preventing loosening and minimizing shrinking while providing a strong mechanical bond.
